TPE-83A is a high-performance thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) 3D printing material with a Shore hardness of 83A. Characterized by being 'soft yet supportive, tough yet flexible,' it serves as an ideal choice for both everyday and industrial applications. Compared to TPU materials, TPE is softer, with higher elasticity and better flexibility. This filament is softer than 95A and deforms more easily under extrusion pressure; therefore, you must set a slower printing speed.
Flexible materials have poorer cooling performance, resulting in less effective overhangs and bridges. It is highly recommended to add supports for overhang and bridging areas.
We recommend using direct-drive printers for best results when printing with flexible materials.
TPU filament is highly hygroscopic and absorbs moisture easily. If it has been left unused for an extended period, we recommend drying it at 60°C for more than 8 hours before your next print.
