If the latch is difficult to insert, check its orientation. Make sure the concave side is facing front and the smooth side is facing back before sliding it into place.
We recommend replacing the spool when at least half of the filament has been used. To prevent unspooling or scattering, pass a strap, zip tie, or rubber band through the hollow slot of the spool to bind and secure the remaining filament before removal.
Because the latch is designed for a tight fit, pulling it out by hand alone may be difficult. We recommend using a small hand tool for leverage, or applying firm pressure on the release point while pulling it out.
