PEBA-85A

BASIC INFORMATION

PEBA-85A is a highly versatile and exceptionally high-performing Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) 3D printing filament with a Shore hardness of 85A. As the core material behind many high-end sports gears, PEBA-85A perfectly integrates ultra-high resilience, extreme lightweight, outstanding impact resistance, and stable performance across a wide temperature range. It efficiently absorbs impact and provides significant energy return instantly, making it ideal for applications demanding extreme shock absorption and dynamic propulsion. Whether you are creating high-end footwear, sports protective gear, wearables, medical rehabilitation aids, or industrial elastic components, PEBA-85A delivers impeccable, top-tier physical properties.

70% Ultra-High Rebound & Energy Return

Boasts an astonishing rebound rate of up to 70%! With rapid deformation recovery and strong dynamic cushioning, it absorbs impact and releases significant energy return instantly. Ideal for high-end running shoe midsoles and propulsion components.

Superior Impact & Wear Resistance

While maintaining excellent elasticity, PEBA-85A also features superior impact resistance, extreme wear resistance, and reliable structural support. It withstands high-frequency intense movements and physical friction, significantly extending product lifespan.

Outstanding Low-Temperature Toughness

Performance does not degrade with drastic temperature changes. It exhibits exceptional low-temperature toughness and cold resistance, maintaining its flexibility and bounce even in freezing, snowy environments without becoming brittle.

Lightweight & Easy to Print

Compared to traditional flexible materials (like TPU), PEBA-85A has a lower density, helping end-products achieve ultimate lightweight upgrades. The formula is specifically optimized to balance flexibility with smooth printability.

Notes
  • It is recommended to re-dry the filament upon receipt. After the filament is unpacked and exposed to the air for a period of time, it is advised to dry it again (60°C for 8 hours, or 70°C for 5 hours) to improve printing results.
  • It is recommended to use a brand-new hotend. Please do not use a hotend that has previously printed fiber-reinforced filaments to print PEBA.
  • Ensure there is no foreign matter in the extruder and the feeding gear is not worn; otherwise, the filament may slip and fail to be extruded continuously and evenly.
  • Printing flexible filaments requires low-resistance, smooth feeding. Excessive feeding resistance will cause under-extrusion. It is recommended to use a filament dryer box with bearings or install a low-resistance spool holder with bearings.
  • When printing hollow tennis ball-like models, the bed temperature can be appropriately lower (40~45°C); when printing solid or sheet-like models, the bed temperature can be appropriately higher (60~80°C), or apply glue to reduce warping or detachment from the build plate.
